PETG, PCTG Filaments
PETG filament (short for glycol-reinforced polyethylene terephthalate) is a filament that has excellent properties as it combines the properties of ABS and PLA filament. This means it's solid, temperature-resistant (up to 80 ° C), extremely durable, and easy to print. It is great for printing harder objects.

Glycol-reinforced PETG filament or polyethylene terephthalate is a plastic thread that combines the properties of ABS filament and PLA filament. Of the two filaments listed, PETG filament has taken on the very best properties: strength, temperature resistance, exceptional durability, and ease of printing. It is because of these properties that PETG filament is the filament for 3D printing that you simply need. Although PETG is not biodegradable compared to PLA filament, it is still an environmentally friendly filament, as it can be 100% recycled after use. Due to their excellent chemical resistance, AzureFilm PETG Black and Transparent filaments meet all the requirements of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on plastics in contact with food and medicine.
Our PETG filament is extremely durable and strong. Another good feature of PETG filament is that it does not emit an odor during printing. It is an excellent filament, which is also used for printing mechanical products and in robotics due to its properties, which combine a combination of strength and flexibility. It is also ideal for 3D printing large prints due to its extremely minimal degree of shrinkage and bending. Large prints and mechanical products are not the only things you can print with PETG filament. People often use this filament to print decorative elements, due to its surface gloss. Increasingly, however, PETG filament is also used to print tools and various medical devices. Recently, PETG filament in the medical profession can be most often observed in prosthetics. The beginning of the use of PETG filament in prosthetics can be attributed to the dizzying prices of adapters for lower limb prostheses. More and more people in medicine are turning to using 3D printed PETG filament due to price differences.
PETG filament can be easily printed on acrylic, glass or polyamide tape, as the filament easily adheres to the printing table. We recommend the use of glass with prior use of DimaFix spray. DimaFix Aerosol Spray is designed to prevent possible deformations and attach your items to the print surface.
The great advantage of this filament is also that you do not need to print it with a closed printer compared to ABS filament, but you will still get extremely durable printing with a print speed comparable to the printing speed of PLA filament. PETG material has an excellent supporting structure due to its strength, which helps the layers to adhere perfectly when printed, and as a result, the products are structurally strong and resistant to mechanical influences.
AzureFilm PETG filament can be printed on almost all 3D printers, such as RepRap and MakerBot, Creality, Ultimaker, Artillery, Prusa, Bits from Bytes, Airwolf3D, Makergear, Printrbot, Bukobot, Type A Machines and many others.
For good results, we recommend printing at 220-230 ° C, with the print table heated to 80-90 ° C. Note the fact that the print temperature range may vary slightly depending on the printer.
The reel on which the AzureFilm PETG filament is wound is 200mm in diameter with a reel width of 63,40mm and a north hole 60 mm in diameter. The vacuum-packed filament contains a bag that absorbs moisture and thus allows for long-lasting filament freshness.
